Trama:
Un comune delinquente, Max, dopo una serie di guai giudiziari, vuole dare una svolta alla sua vita chiedendo alla banca un prestito per aprire un ristorante insieme alla sua ragazza Roxanne. Il rifiuto da parte dell'istituto di credito, lo butta però nello sconforto, al punto di accettare l'offerta di un suo ex compagno di prigione, per un ultimo colpo dal facile guadagno. L'idea é quella di rapire il figlio di un ricco personaggio del Vermont, per poi farsi pagare il riscatto. Sembra andare tutto bene, ma poi qualcosa cambia perchè il bambino non é un bambino come tutti gli altri ed i suoi poteri lo mettono nella condizione di passare da prigioniero a carceriere...
