This movie exploits the native culture of the Chumash by falsely depicting traditional ceremonies. Without consulting native tribes, this work of fiction is detrimental to the public in its inaccurate portrayal of Chumash culture. The misrepresentation of supposed "Chumash Shamans" and other Chumash people is offensive to indigenous culture everywhere.
